Alongside GO-239, Jardim de Maytréia is one of the most recognizable landscapes on the route between Alto Paraíso and São Jorge. Vereda wetlands and buriti palms spread out in front of Morro do Buracão, forming a view especially sought after for contemplation and photography. The described access is a short path of approximately fifty meters to the viewing point.
For some local spiritual communities, the landscape also has symbolic and contemplative meaning.
