The guide
The site, at passaporteveadeiros.com.br, brings together information about Chapada dos Veadeiros, maps, distances, trail references, contacts and services to help you plan your visit, based on the sources listed on each page and on what the community reports. Roads, opening hours, prices, access and natural conditions change, sometimes from one day to the next: what you see here is a planning reference, not a guarantee. Check current conditions with the people in charge of each place, hire a guide when one is required or recommended, and follow local and National Park guidance. Nothing in the guide authorizes entry to private property or closed areas.
Your account
Reading the guide needs no account. Signing in with Google is optional and is used for the passport and for contributing. Use your own account and keep access to it secure. You decide whether to have a public name and whether your profile is public, and you can change either at any time in your passport.
Stamps, answers and XP
You declare your own stamps: mark only the places you have been. Answers about each place (road, price, season, today’s status and the rest) should report what you saw on your visit. Each action is worth the XP shown on the site, and each item can be answered again only after the waiting time shown. XP and levels are a game to recognize the people who keep the guide current: they have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for anything, and may be taken back when a contribution is rejected or in case of abuse, such as mass stamps or answers for places not visited.
What you publish
Tips, road notes, photos and reviews must be truthful, about your own experience and useful to whoever comes next. Do not publish other people’s personal data, advertising, links, phone numbers or contact details, or offensive, discriminatory or illegal content. Review only guides and services you actually hired; people who represent a business should not review their own business or its competitors.
You keep ownership of what you write and allow Passaporte Veadeiros to publish, display and keep that content in the guide, free of charge and non-exclusively, with your public name when you have one. Photos you send must be your own and are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license (CC BY-SA 4.0), with the credit you give, which lets other people reuse them under that license’s terms.
Review by the curators
The curators (David Vieira, of Vila Infinito) review tips, photos, reviews with text, suggestions and professionals’ requests before publishing them, and may reject, hide or remove any content that does not follow these terms, including road notes already published. From 5 answers on, the site shows what the community reports; with 10 or more and a majority disagreeing with the guide, the curators check whether the guide should change. Some official information, such as a no-pets rule from an official source or a guide requirement, is not overridden by votes. Profiles that abuse the space may be removed from public listings.
Professionals and businesses
Guides, therapists and businesses appear in the guide based on the sources listed. Guides, licensed park conductors and therapists can claim their own listing: whoever claims one must show they are responsible for it, and any information they add is reviewed by the curators and labeled as provided by the professional. Bookings, prices and service are arranged directly with each provider, who is responsible for their own services.
Bookings and external services
Bookings for the Vila Infinito chalets are made through the Airbnb listings and follow that platform’s availability, pricing, payment and cancellation terms. External sites, profiles and services have their own rules.
Images and references
Photographs, maps and other third-party materials keep the credits and licenses shown on the site. Check each source’s license before reusing them.
Liability
The guide is provided as is, by Vila Infinito with the community’s help. We do our best to keep it accurate, but we are not liable for decisions based only on it or for content published by visitors. The site may go offline or change how it works, and the community may be temporarily unavailable while the guide keeps working.
Privacy, changes and contact
How your data is used is described in the privacy notice, and you can delete your contributions in My passport. Changes to these terms will be identified by the date above. These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. For support, corrections to the guide or reports about content, write to davidhsv@gmail.com.
