Fazenda São Bento is approximately nine kilometers from Alto Paraíso, toward São Jorge. The complex is known for the Almécegas I, Almécegas II and São Bento waterfalls, as well as lodging and food services. There are also horseback rides, rappelling and the 850-meter zipline, activities that must be booked separately.
A visit to the complex can take up a good part of the day, especially if it includes swimming, viewpoints and lunch. Do not assume that a ticket for one entrance, a stay or an adventure package automatically includes all the circuits.
The Aldeia Multiétnica offers its own access to the Almécegas, separate from the usual Fazenda São Bento entrance; the connection between circuits depends on the gate used and the ticket purchased.
