Vão de Almas is part of the Kalunga quilombola territory, in the Cavalcante area. Its residents’ knowledge, crafts, farming practices and community celebrations are part of the Chapada’s living cultural heritage.
Visits must be arranged with the community, respecting homes, workplaces, ceremonies and permission to take photos. Look for a local guide and settle transportation, meals and any overnight stay before the trip.
