On the same farm as Cachoeira Montana, Funil do Rio Preto requires a much longer trip than the waterfall near the farm headquarters. The reference is approximately six kilometers each way, on foot or, when authorized and possible, in a 4x4 vehicle. The route retraces paths associated with artisanal mining.
Pastures, babaçu palms, jequitibá, copaíba and pequi trees, and forest near the river appear in the description of the walk. On arrival, rocks and sand form the spots to linger, and rock art adds cultural interest. Do not touch the panels or walk off the indicated route.
The municipal government links Funil do Rio Preto and rock painting to Fazenda Montana, requiring advance booking and a guide.
