Chapada Alta brings together more than five falls on the Rio Borrachudo, about fifty kilometers from Alto Paraíso. Among the spots to visit are Cachoeira das Araras, the Escadaria and other greenish-water pools between rock walls and stony terrain.
The same site holds a cave or rock passage associated with Ponte de Pedra, which extends the outing’s appeal beyond swimming. Some routes are longer and require a guide; Seu Augusto is a point of reference for guiding and hospitality.
Camping, rustic rooms and meals make it possible to plan a two-day stay instead of trying to see every spot in a single outing. Confirm in advance which facilities are available, how many walks are involved and the equipment needed to visit the cave.
